Theme of Candide
The novel of Candide is full of many philosophical ideas. One of the main ideas of the story is that everything is for the best, there is no effect without an effect. pg.20.
As a young lad, he was blessed by nature with the most agreeable manners. His character readable in his face, he combined sound judgment with unaffected simplicity; and that was why he was called Candide. He was in love with Lady Cunegonde. He studied, metaphysico-theologo-cosmolo-nigology.
